South Africa can offer a live-in or a live-out Au Pair Program. It is advisable to have the support of a well established Au Pair Agency registered with the South african Department of Home Affairs who may be able to sponsor the au pair.
A legal South African au pair work permit is required for a non-citizen, which allows the au pair to work.
An applicant from outside South Africa must cover their own expenses such as :-
Medical Insurance
Airfare
Language courses if required
Some initial pocket money is required
